The Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation website, created by Sabre Digital Creative of Natick, MA, has received the Harmony Award of Excellence. The site, www.vietnamwomensmemorial.com, received the award for online excellence from the Harmony Editors and Award Group. The site includes content that enables veterans to share memories from their years of service. The site also enables veterans to come together and discuss the impact their service has had on their lives. The site features a Marketplace, where branded merchandise can be purchased; all proceeds from online sales go to support the Foundation’s research efforts.
The Vietnam Women’s Memorial Foundation (VWMF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the bravery of the more than 265,000 women—military and civilian—that served their country during the Vietnam conflict. The Foundation was established to honor those women who served, and for the families who lost loved ones in the war so they could learn about the women who provided comfort, care and a human touch for those who were suffering and dying. The Foundation has the support of every major veterans group in the country, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and more than forty other organizations.
